The successful candidate is required to provide actuarial support to facilitate our client’s continued expansion. Particular responsibilities include:
• Support the preparation of the Corporate Plans;
• Preparation of Solvency II ORSA projections;
• Support the development, review and launch of new products;
• Research and identify appropriate reserving methodologies for new products;
• Build relationship and liaise with third party administrator to agree the actuarial valuation data required for in force business and new products launched;
• Support the expense assumption setting exercise;
• Support the annual review of the appropriateness of reinsurance arrangements;
• Support the annual assessment of the underwriting policy and associated processes;
• Preparation of actuarial material and slides for Board Committee meetings;
• Various actuarial projects.

Experience, skills and competencies:
The following are a distinct advantage:
• Qualified actuary;
• Financial reporting experience. SII, IFRS and USGAAP reporting in particular;
• Experience working in life insurance industry, ideally in a cross border company;
• Actuarial modelling experience;
• Project management experience;
• Good communication skills;
• Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders;
• Flexible, adaptive to changing requirements;
• Strong organisational skills and works on own initiative;
• Wants to develop into a leadership role and take on a high level of responsibility.
