Pricing Actuary
 
This person will be responsible for the professional and appropriate handling of actuarial tasks in the fields of actuarial and financial mathematics, financial risk management and mathematical statistics. Responsible for the calculation of product prices by risk calculation and data analysis.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Pricing in managing and enhancing processes
• Collaborate with Underwriting/Product, Solutions and Distribution to develop premium rates for new products, and adjust rates on existing products as needed
• Subject matter expert on pricing in cross functional teams
• Supporting and further development of calculation and simulation tools as well as numerical procedures
• Ensures that pricing tools adhere to model governance controls and that they are monitored, documented, and maintained 
• Calculation of premiums/tariffs (pricing)
• Execution of data mining on the data basis of the current management system or in the operational inventory
• Cooperation in the execution of operating accounts, solvency test and reporting
• Calculation of assessments within the framework of risk management
• Provide technical expertise to other areas within the organization as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pricing Actuary in the insurance industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern up-to-date methods and tools knowledge of computer science, application tools (SAS, R, Python etc.) and visualization tools (AWS)   

Competencies/Soft Skills

• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with focus on details without losing track of the bigger picture
• Highly competent at interpreting and developing statistical models
• Effective collaboration across a range of Stakeholders within and external to the actuarial function
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in English, other European languages a plus
• Ability to work with multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines
• Highly motivated and constantly aiming to improve
• Start up mindset- comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment
