- Leading the development and execution of the overall programme: This involves working closely with senior leadership to define the vision, goals, and roadmap for the initiative, as well as identifying and meeting agreed key initiatives and milestones. Note the programme roadmap and plan are currently being developed and a key aspect of the role is holding the various workstream owners accountable for programme deliverables within their remit.
- Establishing governance and project management frameworks: The Programme Manager is responsible for setting up robust governance structures and efficient project management methodologies to oversee the execution of the transformation program, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder management and communication: This role involves engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization to build support for the initiative, manage expectations, and communicate progress and outcomes effectively.
- Change management and capability building: The Programme Manager is responsible for supporting the ExCom in driving cultural and organizational change, ensuring that the business is equipped with the necessary capabilities and resources to successfully adopt and sustain the changes brought about by the programme.
- Risk management and issue resolution: Identifying and mitigating risks, as well as addressing issues that may arise during the course of the programme, are crucial aspects of this role to ensure successful delivery.
- Performance measurement and reporting: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to measure the impact of the programme and reporting on progress and outcomes to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
