The successful candidate will become a key contributor to the operation and development of the Economic Scenario Generation (ESG) models, and to the development and maintenance of our client's suite of capital models. This is a key role in supporting the pricing, valuation, and risk management business. It is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to put their technical and analytical skills to use, and an invaluable avenue to developing expertise in the pricing and management of investment risk.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Produce scheduled and ad hoc sets of economic scenarios in a timely manner and to a consistently high quality
? Develop a thorough understanding of the ESG models and drive improvements to the models, tools and processes
? Assist team mates in developing and maintaining the suite of capital models
? Contribute to ad hoc analyses and participate in cross functional projects with other teams such as Actuarial Reporting
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
? Degree/Masters in actuarial studies or alternative course with finance/investment focus
? Knowledge of derivative/option theory an advantage
? Strong quantitative background with good technical and analytical skills
? Experience working in an investment or financial risk management function or in the modelling/management of guaranteed investment products an advantage but not a requirement
