Key Responsibilities:

-Moving to Price Optimization

-Developing Reports both internally and liaising with other departments

-Form their own opinions on pricing requests and make decisions following our agreed risk appetite

This role would suit a numerate individual who enjoys working at the forefront of the business.

Project Management

-Lead various Pricing projects and apply relevant technical, organisational and time management skills to ensure project objectives are met successfully and on-time

-Represent Pricing function on cross-departmental projects covering issues such as regulatory compliance, risk management, client centricity and business development

-Engage with key stakeholders across the business to identify and address relevant strategic issues

-Liaise with Pricing`s management team to seek input and opinion on emerging issues and investigate potential solutions

-Take responsibility for actions assigned to Pricing department and coordinate and communicate responses to relevant audience within required timelines

Pricing

-Assist in the determination of suitable premiums for corporate and individual products to facilitate entry into new markets and territories.

-Be a point of contact in relation to pricing and underwriting queries. The right candidate in time will be expected to form their own opinions on requests and make decisions following our agreed risk appetite.

Analysis of Experience

-Interrogation of database for answers to interesting questions.

-Exploring the effects of different rating factors on experience.

-Provide comprehensive experience analysis to enable the Company to develop a deep understanding of the emerging experience by: client; sales region; geographical territory; distribution channel and product line.

Development of reports to further automate the analysis of what has happened in order to predict what is likely to happen in future.

Experience Required

-Hold a third level numerate degree or appropriate professional qualification

-Possess a solid IT background and the ability to demonstrate programming experience, writing database queries and project management.

-Experience in liaising with, and coordinating efforts of others with whom there is no direct reporting relationship

-Experience of Visual Basic and SQL

-Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

-Experience in a commercial pricing environment would be advantageous
