Our client in Bermuda serves an international client base. The Advisory team can help businesses address the most complex challenges by drawing on resources and skills across its global network. We are looking for a Manager/Senior Manager to support us in maintaining our reputation as a leader in Advisory services both in Bermuda and globally. You will have leadership skills and relevant experience in the Life insurance industry, including, but not limited to, experience in managing a diverse portfolio of engagements and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
It is expected that you will support the Leader of our Life Insurance sector; this will include becoming involved in business development of Advisory opportunities, attending industry events and networking with key stakeholders and executives in the Life Reinsurance space. You will take a lead in supporting and executing on a business plan for the Life sector.
This is a challenging position that will also include scoping and defining appropriate analytical tests to achieve client objectives and being responsible for interpreting client generated analytical results and preparing client reports.

It is expected that you will support the Leader of our Life Insurance sector; this will include becoming involved in business development of Advisory opportunities, attending industry events and networking with key stakeholders and executives in the Life Reinsurance space. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
- Providing a high quality actuarial advisory service to clients;
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients;
- Providing analytical support and technical guidance;
- Completing and auditing loss reserve studies for Life insurance companies domiciled on the island;
- Leading the development of new products and services;
- Conducting special actuarial projects;
- Supporting the audit department on client projects as needed;
- Development of new business through marketing and sales activities;
- Marketing and raising the profile of the actuarial practice;
- Sharing knowledge and experience and contributing to the development of the team;
- Producing thought leadership material;
- Creating value added initiatives.
- Qualified actuary with an in-depth knowledge of the Life insurance and reinsurance industry;
- Experience with Life actuarial issues, including pricing and risk management are required;
- Experience in reserving;
- The ability to manage concurrent engagements and play a part in shaping and implementing tailored solutions;
- Excellent project management and organisational skills are essential and experience in leading, and working with senior management on complex engagements;
- A proven track record in strong business development and excellent client relationship skills;
- Exceptional leadership skills with the proven ability to lead multidisciplinary and multijurisdictional teams;
- Exceptional people skills with the ability to work with clients and staff of all levels (including the ability to provide business and technical mentorship to members of the Advisory team);
- Ability to support clients through change, manage stakeholders, mentor team members, manage teams both locally and internationally based;
- First class written and oral communication skills;
- A self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task on a daily basis and maintain high levels of drive and resilience;
- The ability to work independently with minimum supervision and a proven ability to work with and manage a diverse team is essential;
- Flexibility and an enjoyment of working on challenging projects, and interacting with teams from other business groups.
