Reporting directly into the Head of Actuarial and leveraging on the junior staff within the department, the successful candidate will be a key contributor in the reserving process of the entity ensuring a smooth preparation of the reserves, profitability assessment and Solvency II key function deliverables. Communication with the various departments around the subject matters will be crucial to the role.

Main tasks-
Reserving and Regulation
-Maintain and enhance the Company`s reserving function. A key role for the successful candidate will be to take a leading role in the enhance the reserving process for the businesses and adopt new standards according to Solvency II and the Group`s initiative for Technical Excellence.
-Support the external audit of reserving and technical provision results and assist in the development of actuarial reports in written form and as management presentations according to the practice in the company.
-Assist in the production and modelling of the Solvency II technical provisions and cash-flows of the Company
-Provide actuarial input into the capital model system and Group reporting engines
-Work closely with the risk function to support full compliance with the Solvency II regime

Portfolio and profit management
-Maintain and further develop the company`s suite of profitability analysis reporting and engage in pricing oversight.
-Advise senior management as appropriate on profitability aspects of new products and ventures
-Provide MIS data to business lines

Other duties
-Advise on the annual reinsurance treaty arrangements and provide opinion thereof
-Participate in the annual planning exercise and provide actuarial input for key assumptions
-Assist the Finance Department in areas such as financial projections, budgeting, statutory reporting and reinsurance accounting
-Mentoring and training the junior staff within the department
