The successful candidate will be responsible for financial and capital reporting from an actuarial perspective, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards such as Solvency II and IFRS 17. This role also involves the review and implementation of key financial and risk control processes within the actuarial function, as well as responsibility for actuarial modelling for the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Actuarial function’s role in the calculation, review, and oversight of quarterly IFRS P&L and balance sheet, annual financial statements, and annual IFRS plan earnings projections.
- Oversee and review the quarterly reserving process for Financial & Regulatory Reporting purposes.
- Prepare formal quarterly and annual financial reporting required for key internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and design actuarial reporting and controls in accordance with best practices to ensure appropriate governance.
- Advise the Executive Committee, Reserving Forum, and the Board on key actuarial matters.
- Lead the development and optimization of actuarial models (predominantly Prophet).
- Support the review and development of relevant actuarial methodologies and techniques.
- Establish a culture of accountability, delivery, and performance within the Actuarial Reporting and Modelling team.
- Qualified actuary with a minimum of 5+ years post-qualification experience and 5+ years relevant actuarial reporting management experience, primarily in the life insurance sector.
- Significant experience in building and managing key internal and external relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS reporting bases and metrics.
- Significant model development experience (ideally Prophet) with a strong understanding of coding standards and best practices.
- Strong influencing, negotiating, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching other actuaries and actuarial graduates
