The roles have responsibility for delivering all of the work that would be expected of an internal actuarial team. Role responsibilities
Reporting is carried out on a number of reporting bases (IFRS and local regulatory) and in multiple jurisdictions across the globe. The client has implemented sophisticated financial engineering, which bring additional reporting responsibilities and technical challenges. The client views the Actuarial Function as a key value generator.
The typical responsibilities will include:
  • Performing all aspects of actuarial work, including financial reporting and solvency reporting
  • Review and analysis of the quarterly reserves and capital requirements, liaising closely with the various stakeholders
  • Production of quarterly packs for management reporting and presentation of this information to the client’s Exec.
  • Performing actuarial projects for the client, including capital management, corporate restructuring, model development, and product pricing
  • Engaging with the client at senior levels to assist them in other areas like financial risk, product distribution, and capital issues
  • Production of business plans and ORSA projections, including scenarios, across multiple reporting bases and regulatory jurisdictions
  • Co-ordination of the annual assumption and model change process
  • Close co-operation and engagement with the client’s Finance department, which is also outsourced
  • Support internal and external audit and peer review activities
  • Maintaining Actuarial Function documentation of key processes, procedures, and results
  • Supporting the continued enhancement of reporting processes, introducing efficiencies, and increasing automation
About you
You will have very relevant previous actuarial experience predominantly in actuarial reporting roles. You will have the ability to work as part of a team (managing junior staff if qualified), strong interpersonal and communication skills, in addition to possessing a strong technical mindset and leadership skills.
You will be a self-starter and an effective communicator. You will be keen to learn and develop your expertise and skills, while also developing those of others you work with.
