Actuarial Model and Systems Lead | Life

The Actuarial Model and Systems Lead is a key member of the Actuarial Reporting Leadership. Initially this role will be involved in leading a strategic change programme to reshape the end-to-end actuarial reporting models, processes and systems. This will involve driving the implementation of new technology and techniques to optimise the end-to-end Actuarial Reporting models and processes.

Ideally candidates will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

• Experience leading and/or managing a team through a strategic changing programme with the ability to communicate complicated issues to senior management.
• Extensive experience of model development, actuarial systems and processes (Prophet, SQL, Python, etc.). Experience of a workflow systems is ideal.
• Up to date knowledge and understanding of actuarial principles and methodology (SII and IFRS17)
• Producing management level reports and presentations, and communicating to senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of the financial structure and operation of life and pensions products and in particular have a strong knowledge of the structures of unit linked, with profit and term insurance products
• Ability to deliver / transfer knowledge through coaching and mentoring skills
• Delivery focused with a flexible attitude and approach
• Confident communicator, with strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and progress multiple deliverables
• Evidence of proven career track record and consistent record of achievement
