An excellent opportunity for a qualified actuary to join a high-performing actuarial reporting team within a growing reinsurance environment.
This role will suit someone with strong technical depth who enjoys balance sheet projections, scenario testing, and interpreting results in a commercial context. You will work closely with actuarial, finance, risk and business stakeholders, supporting key reporting deliverables including business planning, financial condition testing, stress and scenario analysis, and wider strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting delivery of the annual business plan and Financial Condition Testing
- Producing projections, stress tests and scenario analysis
- Interpreting results and communicating key insights clearly to stakeholders
- Building expertise across the balance sheet, risk exposures and reporting impacts
- Supporting process, systems and financial projection capability development
- Ensuring compliance with relevant group policies, regulatory requirements and professional standards
Ideal background:
- Qualified actuary with 2–3+ years’ post-qualified experience
- Experience in areas such as cashflow modelling, financial reporting, capital reporting, ALM reporting, balance sheet projections and scenario analysis
- Strong modelling and analytical capability, with exposure to tools such as Excel, Prophet, SQL and/or Power BI
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially aware, well organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
