Modelling Actuary | Life Reinsurance

Responsibilities:

• Support the production of quarterly and annual actuarial reporting deliverable
• Produce a detailed breakdown of liability movements to support transaction performance analysis
• Draft accurate, clear, and concise documentation and effectively communicate insights to key stakeholders
• Work with various teams to implement new transactions into the actuarial modeling framework
• Develop and maintain the appropriate infrastructure to support the actuarial modeling environment and SQL platform
• Design and implement improvements to actuarial data models, liability models, and reporting processes
• Support the design and implementation of relevant projects and strategic initiatives, with a focus on process and system developments over
• Keep up to date with emerging experience and best practice through engagement with colleagues and individual research9.

The Person:

• Completed actuarial examinations with at least three years of relevant experience in a life insurance or life reinsurance environment
• Experience in data management, financial reporting, cash flow modeling, or model development
• An enthusiastic work approach with a strong work ethic and a keen appetite to learn and develop
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and experience with modeling software (ideally Prophet), SQL, R, data visualization software (ideally Power BI), and an understanding of coding standards and best practice.
