Risk Analyst | Life

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting the Chief Risk Officer with the following activities:

• Implementation of the Risk Management Strategy and updating related documentation (Policies, Risk Register, Risk Limits, etc.);
• Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR) and Regulatory Supervisory Report (RSR);
• Reporting for the Risk Committee, Board of Directors and Central Bank of Ireland;
• Managing relationships with the reinsurer and monitoring the risk underwriting and transfer process;
• Assisting the head of the Actuarial Function in the development and validation of Technical Provisions and solvency requirements;
• Monitoring of investment risk limits and related limits for internal funds;
• Monitoring of outsourcers.
• Products implementation/review

  The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in actuarial/economic disciplines;
• 2 - 4 years’ experience within Insurance Companies or consulting firms;
• Knowledge of Solvency II regulations and EIOPA reporting
• Knowledge of International Financial Accounting Standards applied to insurance – particularly IFRS17
• Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in the field of data analysis (e.g., "R," "Python")
• Excellent IT skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
• Experience in assessing risks associated with financial instruments in which the Company may invest would be considered a plus.
