This is an excellent opportunity to get experience of a variety of actuarial work across a diverse range of clients, to extend and showcase your technical expertise, and to work closely with experienced mentors in the actuarial fields.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager will step into a varied and fast paced role. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing the Actuarial team on actuarial consulting / advisory projects for clients on a broad range of topics including:
o Actuarial Peer Review & Reviewing Actuary engagements;
o Outsourced Actuarial Function and Internal Audit programs;
o Implementation of regulatory change projects – e.g. IFRS17;
o Portfolio Transfer / Independent Actuary engagements
o Actuarial Modelling projects;
o Risk Management – e.g. ORSA & Risk reviews, ERM engagements;
o Capital Management projects;
o Mergers & Acquisitions activity;

• Business Development activity including
o Become a subject matter expert on topics; writing articles and presenting at conferences on these topics;
o Preparation of new business proposals and responses to RFPs; and
o Participation in pitches with prospective clients;

Principal Requirements:
To be considered for this position ideally you would meet the following criteria:
• Be a qualified actuary with 8-10 years of work experience, with at least 4 years' pqe;

• Experience in at least one of:
o The delivery of non-life actuarial consultancy services;
o A financial reporting or Solvency II role within a general insurance entity;
o IFRS17 implementation;
o The audit of non-life (re)insurance entities.

• Be knowledgeable on the non-life insurance industry in Ireland/Europe and the main issues facing companies in the sector;
• Be a self-starter who can work independently as well as within a team;
• Enjoy learning and taking on new challenges; and
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
