This is an exciting opportunity for any candidates looking to relocate to London, UK.
The role is to contribute to the research and develop the company’s actuarial bases in respect of Longevity, Mortality, Income Protection and Critical Illness products in UK and Ireland. This will cover industry best estimate assumptions (Terms of Trade), completing experience analysis of the inforce business, as well as the calibration of the internal capital model (QIR).
You will work under guidance of qualified actuaries in the team on a variety of different projects and tasks. This will include gathering and cleaning of data, maintenance of R&D tools and systems, data analysis, carrying out experience analyses of the inforce book and model fitting.
Desirable knowledge and skills:
o One to three years of experience in an actuarial job (consultancy, insurer or reinsurer)
o Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
o Making good progress with the actuarial exams
o Interest in programming and application of data science techniques, and comfortable with or willing to learn software packages, such as Tableau, SQL (or comparable database language) and R.
