The Role:
You will deliver the planned GI pricing strategy and profitability for the Irish GI business and work with all local functions and senior management in ensuring that the Pricing function operates effectively in Ireland.

You will develop best in class technical pricing and customer behaviour models for the Irish market.

You will use leading edge segmentation and modelling techniques to identify and exploit preferred market niches and drive competitive advantage and make pricing recommendations for all areas of Personal Insurances to deliver planned profitability and drive rating change in the market.

You will maintain effective pricing governance and control process for the Irish market and full documentation of pricing consistent with the Technical Pricing Standard. You will manage the pricing change process, requests and new pricing development demand for Ireland Personal Lines.

You will support and build close working relationships with local distribution functions and deliver effective local market pricing implementation capability. You will help with identification of emerging Pricing issues in the local market and be responsible for leading and managing a specialist pricing team.

You will lead actuarial projects and review technical work, working as part of a team with the relevant portfolio managers, develop new products and solutions to business problems.

About You:
You will be a Qualified Actuary, with GI Pricing experience, ideally within a supervisory / team leader role. You will have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the Irish General Insurance market, with a strong commercial and strategic awareness of GI Pricing.

You will have a strong technical numerical, actuarial or statistical background and extensive knowledge and experience of the full range of standard GI Pricing techniques including rating adequacy techniques and methodologies, GLM risk modelling, customer behaviour modelling and Price Optimisation.

You will have an extensive experience of the implementation of best practice technical pricing into street pricing and of delivery of pricing solutions which meet the needs of distributors and customers whilst ensuring that profit and COR targets are also met.
