Experience Required:
– Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary
– Strong understanding of insurance business
– Demonstrated problem solving capabilities
– Project Management Experience: liaising with, and coordinating efforts of others
– Should ideally have 3+ years’ experience working in either a General or Life insurance role and strong Solvency II knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
– Development of Actuarial Function Practice
– Integration of Actuarial Processes and Systems
Main Tasks:
– Development of Reserving & Actuarial Function including:
– Quarterly production to determine Loss Reserves, Mathematical Reserves and Claims & Premium Provision incl. Future Cash Flows, Risk Margins and how they develop over valuation periods
– Contribution to risk capital quantification under Solvency II standard model
– Development and Enhancements of related IT systems, analytical tools and reporting engines
– Model validation and key control assessment with audit track
– Actuarial Function Report and other Regulatory Reports
– Project Management and Supervision of Junior staff
– Profitability Assessment and contribution to Planning and Steering of Business
