Our client is seeking applications for the position of Senior Actuarial Assistant. This role provides an opportunity for an experienced candidate with Solvency II experience to join the Solvency II Team.

Job Purpose:
This position is within the Solvency II team and its main purpose is to assist in the calculations and developments required for Solvency II reporting. The Solvency II team is part of the Group Actuarial department and is primarily responsible for Solvency II development and reporting together with Asset Liability Modelling.

Principal Responsibilities:
? To assist in the calculation of Technical Provisions for Solvency II
? Prepare data for the purpose of assessing the Solvency Capital Requirement under Solvency II
? Update and maintain procedures and appropriate documentation
? To assist in PROPHET development and ad hoc calculations
? Prepare regulatory reports for the CBI, as required under Solvency II
? To work with other Actuarial and Finance functions to meet reporting requirements
? To present the results of calculations and investigations in a draft format as directed
? To have a good understanding of Solvency II regulations

Person Specification:
? Minimum 2.1 Actuarial Science degree
? Part qualified and currently undertaking the remaining Actuarial exams
? 12 – 36 months experience in a Solvency II role
? Analytical skills and Problem Solving ability
? Good systems and MS Office skills
? Good interpersonal and communication skills
? Ability to work to tight deadlines
? Excellent team player
