Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly reserving process and technical reserve calculations.
- Develop, test and enhance reserving methodologies and reserving programmes.
- Maintain and improve actuarial modelling tools, databases and automated reporting processes.
- Investigate and resolve issues within reserving systems, applications and VBA-based tools.
- Contribute to systems migration and model development projects, including testing, documentation and implementation.
- Support data governance, reporting controls and audit requirements.
- Work closely with teams across Data Management, IT, Finance, Operations and Business Development, as well as external partners.
- Part-qualified or qualified actuary.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an actuarial role.
- Strong programming skills with experience in SAS, SQL and/or Python desirable.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Knowledge of reserving techniques such as Chain Ladder, Bornhuetter-Ferguson and Mack Method would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English essential; additional European languages beneficial.
- Broad exposure to reserving, modelling and business projects.
